Solo Leveling Reivew by: Jessy N

Solo Leveling by Chugong, This book is about a weak hunter named Sung Jinwoo finds himself in an apparently never-ending war for existence in a world where hunters—humans with magical abilities—must fight terrifying creatures to save humanity from certain annihilation. A mysterious software known as the System selects him as its single player one day after he narrowly escapes an exceedingly difficult dungeon that would have killed off his entire group, and in return, grants him the extremely rare ability to level up in strength, maybe beyond any known boundaries.
I read this book during the summer, and I enjoyed how it aspects that relate to videogames. And the plot is caked with crazy events that continue to pull you deeper into the world. I loved the character Jin woo because he is always striving to become the best of his class. He has mentality where he wants to make the best of himself and always wants become better than before. Although he isn't self centered since he cares about the innocent and the safety of the citizens and obviously his friends and loved ones. I would recommend this book for people who enjoy the manga genre of shonen since it is part of that category.

  2. Thanks for the review Jessy. You gave a quick but descriptive idea for what this book is about. I wonder if the main character will fall to the "dark side" and be consumed by power.
