Blue Lock was made in 2018 and it gained popularity during 2020 and it was turned into a show on October 8, 2022. Blue lock is about a teenager Yoichi Isagi who missed out on the chance to compete in the national high school championships because he passed to a teammate who missed rather than taking the shot himself. Isagi is among the 300 U-18 strikers chosen by Jinpachi Ego, a man who was hired by the Japan Football Association following the 2018 FIFA World Cup to lead Japan to the World Cup by destroying Japanese football. To create the biggest "striker" in the world—a position that Japanese football has lacked—Ego intends to segregate the 300 strikers into a prison-like facility that is named "Blue Lock." And they all have to compete in a "last man standing" competition.
Because of the thrill and anxiety rollercoasters I experienced while reading about the players playing these matches, I truly loved reading this novel. I was quite interested in reading because I already play soccer, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. Additionally, even if you don't like soccer, this book can encourage you to start.
Hey Jessy! I also like manga and you did a good job with this review. This review isn't mind-numbingly long, or too short it is just right. I also liked that you take about how you felt when reading this book.
ReplyDeleteGood job writing the review. I think it's ironic how you said football for the majority of the review and then it just changes to soccer in the end. I was wondering if this manga is kind of like Haikyuu.
ReplyDeleteHey Jessy! This review is quite informative and definitely convinced me to pick this manga up!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great review! I used to read a lot manga but I have started reading less. This review was informative and I like how you reflect on how you feel about it.
